Thing # 2

I decided on my posting name because it was available and I proud to be a teacher. The name of my blog identifies it is mine. I did not want my first and last name on the blog. I thought about a different name, but I needed it to be something I can remember. My experience of creating the blog was easy. I was surprised how easy it was to do. I have never set one up so it was a new experience. I found it easy and considering a blog for my classroom. I read the instructions and did not have a hard time. My avatar closely reflects my personality. The sunglasses in the hair would have definitely made it me but they all were wearing them. I personally most of the time use them as a hair accessory. I thought this avatar resembled my personality and me. My daughter helped me design it and said, “Mom it looks like you.”

I think it's great that you involved your daughter in your blog process. I can't wait until my kids are old enough to do that kind of thing with me. I wish I had an easier time setting up my blog but I think it was AP server problems more than anything else. I'm having much better luck on my own laptop now and I'm forging ahead with the other million "Things" we have to do! :)

My daughters know so much more about computers than I do. They thought this whole project was cool. They are 12 and 9. They have checked out a few sites (once I approved)and have had their own fun. My 12 year old didn't really want a blog until she saw me setting up mine and all the cool stuff. What is frustrating to me is cool to her. My girls live in a generation which will not be intimidated by technology!
